What is Cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is the use of extreme cold to freeze and remove abnormal tissue. It uses a stream of compressed gas to freeze the lesion.
What can be treated?
It is used to treat many skin conditions including verrucas, warts, age spots, skin tags, cherry angiomas and seborrhoeic keratosis.
What can I expect?
The procedure is quick and painless, with most patients experiencing little to no discomfort.
They may feel a slight tingling or burning sensation, which is usually minimal. The removal typically takes just a few minutes to complete, and no downtime is required afterwards. Patients can resume their normal activities immediately afterwards.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments required will depend on the size and type of lesion being treated.
It is highly effective and most patients see a permanent result after just one treatment, but larger or more stubborn lesions may require multiple treatments.
